CCA AND THE MAD FRAMER PRESENT
A HUMBLE PROJECT

October 10 – November 1, 2008
Opening Friday October 10 | 6-8pm
spector ripps project space | Center for Contemporary Arts

Humble Collective did a site-specific installation in response to a series of drawings in the space by Thomas Haddad. Haddad, a graduate of Pratt Institute, is a World Trade Center survivor from the 89th floor of WTC1. His experiences on 9/11 inspired a series of drawings entitled The Bus Drawings project as a means for Haddad to cope and move on from this tragic experience.

Humble is a dynamic, evolving, collective of young Santa Fe artists and visionaries who strive to create an environment for change in the art market. In the world of "art as commodity" these artists question the system of art, the "artist on sale," and the pigeon-hole effect of artist recognition.

ARTISTS AT THE MAD FRAMER PRESENTS
A FINE LINE

drawings by Robin Williams and images by Elizabeth Daggar.
Opening Friday April 18th 5pm-9pm
At the Mad Framer Gallery, 1572 A Center Drive, Santa Fe,

When looking at the work of Santa Fe artist Robin Williams you get the feeling she's pulled energy from thin air and transformed that force into a series of blind contour drawings where faces and places are created with bold and elegant lines. Robin is a member of The Drawing Center, Soho.

The images of Brooklyn-based artist Elizabeth Daggar capture the quiet corners of dense urban environments around New York, Paris and Amsterdam with striking photographs, charcoal drawings and casein paintings. Elizabeth's work is featured in the April issue of American Artist magazine.
